Ludo is weer naar huis,k zou met m meerijden maar ik kan kater Bram echt niet alleen laten nu,alles is bevroren en zonder water kan ie echt niet. Duidelijk is dat de motor gereviseerd moet worden en Ludo gaat de benodigde spullen bestellen.
Twijfel slaat bij mij toe en als ik een lift naar Nederland kan krijgen van An,de moeder van mijn ex-liefje Sandra,besluit ik om te gaan.Bram gaat mee.
Ik logeer bij vrind Thony en zit de hele dag achter mn laptop te speuren op t net naar een eventueel andere gereviseerde motor
Zowieso lekker om weer in Rotterdam te zijn even,maar volgend weekend ga ik toch weer terug,gebruikmakend van t aanbod van Martin de wielenman uit de oude haven om me te brengen.

Tsjonge Philip, zo worden het wel heel gemengde gevoelens over de droomreis. Misschien is het wel goed dat je niet naar Rotterdam terug kunt varen, want als de motor eenmaal in orde is, kun je mooi verder. Tegen die tijd is de vorst vast ook wel over.

I hope I get to say hello before you say goodbye, but life here has been hopelessly hectic with all sorts of challenges quite apart from work. All I can say I suppose is 'a la prochaine'! xx

Happy travels Philippe! I have read about your journey so far through Mr Pilkington's 1960's eyes, and it doesn't sound as if much has changed. In those days, though, there was a lot of traffic on the canal, and they were often delayed by files of barges at the locks. It's so much quieter now, iwn't it? Still, your photos give images to his words, and it looks and sounds so beautiful there in the Champagne region.xx
